Comic books (Comics)/Value of some old comics

Question
Hi there, recently going through our parents crawl space we found a whole stack of faily good (though a bit aged) of "Sex to Sexty" comic books.
From the tiny bit of research I've done, they are originals dated from the late 60s to early 70s.

I'm not getting a clear idea of what their worth is. We have issues #1 through to # 45. There is a couple missing in between but other than that....

Could you provide me any information on these?

Thank you!

Answer
Hi Celena

My understanding is that this magazine featured cartoons similar to what you might find in Playboy or similar magazines.  It is not technically a comic book since it does not feature sequential artwork.  However, there was at least one artist popular among comic book collectors that also did artwork in Sex to Sexty: Bill Ward.  Ward Kimball, who worked at Disney on animation, also appeared in its pages.

You can learn more about this magazine by reading the description and reviews of the following book at Amazon:

Unfortunately, from what I can see, back issues of this title have not sold for very much money in the past.  The issues I could find for sale are usually offered for $3 to $5 each by book dealers.  You might do a little better with the first couple issues, as collectors generally put a premium on the earliest issues of any series.  If you wish to sell, I would recommend eBay.  I would also play up names people might recognize and be interested in like Bill Ward and Ward Kimball.

Feel free to ask any follow-up questions.

Good luck!

Chris
