Answer
Hi Rosey

I'm somewhat confused.  Superman first appeared on newsstands in 1938, so it would seem that he is 72.  Batman first appeared in 1939, so he would be 71.

Are you going by when Superman was first created?  As I understand, Superman was created in 1932, but it took Siegel & Shuster 6 years to get the character published.  1932 would make Superman 78.

Batman was created as a second superhero after Superman was published and became wildly successful.  So the character really couldn't have originated before 1938.

Based on the topics you have indicated you would want to discuss, I don't think I am the best person for this interview.  I don't keep up with what is currently going on with these characters in the comics.  My knowledge of them is really only through the 1960s.

You also didn't provide me any phone number to contact you.  Unfortunately, I will be unavailable today from about 12:00 pm until 4:30 pm.

Let me know if you want to discuss this further.  It is always great to have news shows doing serious stories on comics and comic characters.
