Hello:

I used to own an action comic book that had World War II or Korean War American army soldiers and they would often encounter dinosaurs in the story.  I cannot remember the name of the comic book. Would you have any idea. I do not think it was Sergeant Rock, but it could be. I am more likely to believe that it was an independent publication.

Actually, the comic you are describing sounds like Star Spangled War Stories.  This title from DC Comics featured the series "The War That Time Forgot" in the early 1960s in issues #90 thru #137, wherein some WWII soldiers on a Pacific island discovered that the island was also populated by dinosaurs.  The series also appeared in some later comics (mostly reprinting the original stories but occasionally featuring new adventures), which you can find listed in the Wikipedia entry:
