Question
Good morning, sir!
A little over a month, I was talking with a friend of mine about comic books. She read them when she was very young and she was a big fan of the X-men, Storm in particular.
My friend mentioned a specific comic book with Storm on the cover. She had this comic when she was very young and loved and lost it. My friend also has a birthday coming up this month and I've been considering tracking down the specific comic book for a present.
This is a tough one because I don't have a ton of information and I'd love to surprise her with a present. Thus, I'd rather not ask for more information if possible.
Here is a quote from my friend about the comic:
"I want a an X-men comic. One with storm on the cover. I can actually picture it right now. Had it when I was little and have no idea what happened to it. I am sure it got thrown out in one of my family's many moves.
it had storm on the front and she was in black with her cape blowing out and clouds and lightening all around her.
she looked hot
i always wanted to be her"
My friend is 38 going on 39, so I assume this comic is from the mid '70s to mid '80s. I read comics when I was little, but I never read X-Men. I assume at this time there was only the Uncanny series. But, she wasn't specific. If there were any mini-series or Storm solo stuff, it could be that.
If you can't tell me what issue this is, I'd appreciate if you could direct me to a site where I could browse X-Men covers from that era.
Thank you very much for your help, sir.

Answer
Hi Isaac,

I've included below a link to a site called the grand comics database.  The link should take you to a page where you can see scans of the X-Men covers.

From your description, my first thought was that you were talking about issue #147 which came out in 1981.

Here's the link:

Hope this helps.  Please let me know if the link doesn't work.
