Question
i just inherited a bunch of newer comics and i didn't know if the IMAGE(the image company) comics are worth hanging on to. will they raise value?

Answer
Hi Louis

I'm sorry to be sending you a very late reply.  Allexperts sends me an email when someone asks me a question, and I've just discovered that my Hotmail account has started sending those notification emails to my Junk Folder.

It is impossible to predict what may or may not go up in value in the future.  Image Comics did have very good artists working for them, which is a good sign.  However, most comics from the last 20 years probably won't be worth much any time soon since comics are no longer viewed as disposable (as they were 50 or more years ago).  Since so many people save their comics, supply tends to exceed demand on the back issue market.

However, it all depends on your time horizon and the whims of future generations.  I have trouble throwing away or giving away almost any comics, but then that's just me.

Enjoy!
