Question

This is what they look
Dear Chris,

I have a collection of Marvel Character stamps- ranging from no.1 to 100 from the early 1970's. Can you please give me information on the value regarding this matter.

Thank You
Regards Tefau.

Answer
Hi Tefau

The Marvel Value Stamps program of the 70s was a popular program for Marvel at the time, but in hindsight is more remembered by collectors for leading to the mutilation of 1000s of comics in that time period.

There is a good description of this program on eBay:

Basically, if you have the Stamp Book that these stamps could be mounted into, you might have something worth $100 to $200 with all the stamps included.  However, I am not personally familiar with anyone who is actively collecting these stamps.

Not that I would throw them away.  They are a unique item and something that I'm sure some diehard Marvel fans would pay something for.  It's just always easy to compare whatever value they have to the lost value of the comics they were cut from, and they really come up on the short end of the stick in that regard.
