Question
I have a Superman Reprint Comic of the first one.It has superman raising the car over his head, No 1, June 1938, 10c, and reprint stated on it. On the back page it has an advertisment for a POW WOW Sleeping bag and it expires in 1976.
I've had for 20 years and wondering if it's worth anything, I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Hope you can help.

Answer
Hi Andrew

It sounds like you may have a copy of Famous First Edition # C-26.  DC Comics put out this title in the 70s, reprinting several of their popular characters' origin issues.

You can tell if what you have is the Famous First Edition because this comic was oversized.  It's measurements are 10" x 13 1/2".

Assuming this is the comic you have, it originally came with two covers, one being the original Superman cover and another one on top of that which said Famous First Edition.  It is not uncommon for people to remove that outer cover and try to represent the comic as a Superman (actually Action Comics) #1.  However, without both covers, this edition really isn't worth anything to collectors.
