QuestionQUESTION: 1. How do you archive (make last forever) 1200 comic books and 700 graphic novels? I do not want to get another copy each time it is damaged.
2. How do you get those 1200 comic books and 700 graphic novels at the cheapest? It costs a ton of money to get all that.
ANSWER: Hi Henry,
Paper products aren't meant to last forever. I know of some instances where people have laminated the pages of their comics, and this would make them last, however, it would be a very expensive effort.
If you store your comics in a dry, dark and cool location (70 degrees or below), that will extend the life span of your collection.
Out of curiousity, what type of damage is occuring with your comics/graphic novels?

QUESTION: I take care of it well, but this damage can occurred. Such as it died by out by because it is paper. When I take it out to read, it is exposed to air. As countless time goes by reading it, it would eventually be damaged beyond repair.
So I am just asking how to keep my 1200 comic books and 700 graphic novels to last forever. Is there a way?
And second question, how can I get those comic books and graphic novels the cheapest. It costs a ton.
AnswerHi Henry,
Well, I've offered suggestions on how to protect and extend the life of your collection.
As far as buying comics cheap, I purchase most of my collection at local comic shows and conventions. Usually you can find dealers there who have a wide variety of comics for sale and will offer bargains.
If you don't have any local comic book shows in your area, you might want to check out eBay. Another web site that I sometimes use to make purchases is ecrater.com. There are quite a few comic sellers on that web site and you can definitely find inexpensive comics for sale there.
