Question
I have 5 "8 pagers" by Abe Martin, Gert Gabbo,Jiggs,,Jinks, Upyer Brown presents Boots,Love's Labor Lost & Maggie gets some culture. They are complete & readable, considering the original quality of material, which I believe is "original" I'd guess that's pretty good shape. Are they worth anything to anyone? Thanx, Bruce Cook

Answer
Hi Bruce

There is definitely a market for tijuana bibles. They get listed on eBay with some regularity and get bids if the price set for them isn't too high. You're not going to get enough money to retire on like you could with early superhero comics. If in decent shape, they generally sell for around $10 each, though some special issues might sell for more. I think the one on your list that might get higher interest is Gert Gabbo, as ones depicting knock-off characters based on popular actresses seem to generate more interest. Others that can go for more are ones depicting comic book superheroes or famous funny animal characters like Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Enjoy
