Question
I'm trying to recall the name of a comic book(s) I read probably between 1958 and 1963.  Not sure what category would fall into.  Horror, or fantasy, or science fiction?  One story was about mirrors and their reflections.  I believe the other had to do with a psychiatrist who's mother sat in the waiting room quilting.   I believe the plot involved a young woman patient and I believe the shocker ending had to do with the mother quilting the patients.  I'm sorry I can't remember more. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Pat

Unfortunately I do not recognize either of the stories you describe.  Based on the time period of 1958-1963, you would be referring to a fantasy comic.  A few different companies published fantasy comics in this period, including (in the order I think most likely for what you describe) 1. Charlton (Strange Suspense Stories, Mysteries of Unexplored Worlds, Out of This World, Tales of the Mysterious Traveler, This Magazine is Haunted, etc.), 2. Marvel (Amazing Adult Fantasy, Marvel Tales, Mystic, Uncanny Tales, etc.), 3. DC (House of Secrets, House of Mystery).  These really don't sound like DC stories.  They sound typical of the stories that were being produced by Charlton and Marvel in this period.  There were some smaller publishers as well that just produced a few fantasy comics in this period.  One example that comes to mind is Harvey's Man in Black.

Hope this list of companies and titles might have been helpful.  Good luck finding what you're looking for!
