Comic books (Comics)/looking for story in kid's comic book

Question
In the late 40's or early 50's, as a child, I would always get the big special 25 cent thick comics that came out at Christmas time and in the summer -- Disney had one and so did Looney Tunes.  In one Christmas issue, there was a beautiful story I'd give anything to find again.  It featured a little cherub who was new in heaven and was assigned to polish stars, but she fell asleep on a cloud, and drifted down to earth in a forest, and all the animals gathered around her to keep her warm.  Somehow she made it back to Heaven and won the respect of the older angels.  Is there any way I can find this story?  It might have been adapted in comic book form from a children's book.   Thanks.

Answer
Hi, Marielena -

Thanks for your question!

This is pretty specific, but I think I might have the resources to find it.  I don't suppose you'd recognize the cover of the comic book if you saw it?  Or if you remember what was on the cover at all?

That would be most helpful toward finding it.  You've given me some things to go on, but the cover of the comic will be my best bet toward helping you find this.

Let me know!

I`ve been collecting comics for over 40 years and am able to answer most questions regarding comics, creators, fandom and the industry from the Golden Age through to today`s comics, with an emphasis on super and action heroes and most of my expertise ranges in the Silver to Modern Ages. My expertise lies in DC Comics/National Periodical Publications, although my general knowledge extends well into Marvel, Tower, Archie, Charlton & many of the "Independent" companies that began in the late 70`s & 80`s. I do have some knowledge of the Western, Funny Animals, Romance and other genres, but to a lesser degree, so please don't grade me on specific knowledge of these areas if you choose to ask me questions on those topics.
