Question
was Gog in the dc mini series kingdom more powerful then the quintessance combined who gave him his powers? I have heard he had become more powerful then they are is this true?

Answer
Hi, Raul,

Thanks for your question!

No, Gog was not more powerful than the Quintessence as a whole, however, because of the combined powers he was granted, he would have been able to overcome any of the individual members of the quintessance or their proteges in one-on-one battle.

Neither Shazam, Ganthet, Zeus, Izaya/Highfather or the Phantom Stranger could necessarily be called "Team Players" in any given situation except the one that created Gog in the first place.  Shazam, Zeus and Highfather have always overseen everything that they have been involved in, Ganthet was part of a collective, but he was the most "individual" member of the Guardians and the  Phantom Stranger is a mystery unto himself and has never really given anyone the idea that he wanted to be part of a team.

As was shown, a real Team working together would be able to defeat Gog.

Hope that's helpful - please let me know if there is anything else I can answer for you!

Expertise

I`ve been collecting comics for over 40 years and am able to answer most questions regarding comics, creators, fandom and the industry from the Golden Age through to today`s comics, with an emphasis on super and action heroes and most of my expertise ranges in the Silver to Modern Ages. My expertise lies in DC Comics/National Periodical Publications, although my general knowledge extends well into Marvel, Tower, Archie, Charlton & many of the "Independent" companies that began in the late 70`s & 80`s. I do have some knowledge of the Western, Funny Animals, Romance and other genres, but to a lesser degree, so please don't grade me on specific knowledge of these areas if you choose to ask me questions on those topics.
