I appreciate you taking the time to read my question.  My grandfather bought a house about 15 years ago and found some comics in the attic that he gave to me.  Included, was the entire 1976 Peter Parker the Spectacular Spiderman series, all 250 plus of them.  They are all backboards and covered.  Do you have any idea what these might be worth.  I've looked everywhere and the lots on most sites are only a few of the series.  I know this is a difficult question, I'm just looking for an educated estimate.  Thanks again in advance.

P.S. I also have nearly every valiant comic ever made, with autographs.  Noticed you knew independents.  Any idea.

Hi Jason,

Depending on the condition, the Spectacular Spider-Man series should have some value, particularly those issues from the 1970s.  I have included a link below to a site I use for you to check out:

The link should take you to a listing of the Spectacular Spider-Man series.  If not, just do a title search on the www.comicspriceguide.com home page.  The site can be used for free for looking up info on the value of the comics and also offers tips on grading if you need help with that.

The site has a pretty extensive listing so you should be able to find information on your Valiant comics as well. My personal experience in selling Valiant comics has been kind of hit or miss.  Some titles do quite well while there are others that I would have a hard time giving away.

I will add that those Valiant comics published before the 1992 Unity storyline (also known as pre-Unity Valiants) seem to sell the best.
