Question My intention is to invest in apartments, but to be totally honest I don't know where to start, and the kicker is I sell real estate. I guess I'm a little intimadated. Where can I go to get some honest answers, there are so many webinars offered, my head is spinning.
Answer You're correct in that there is a great deal of information out there on real estate investing. Some learn better by attending seminars/classes, and others prefer the self-help method by reading books and materials. You'll need to determine which of those directions is a better choice for you. There's quite a lot of information to absorb...way to much to present here, but if you end up with specific questions, I'm happy to help. Even as a real estate professional, you might consider being represented by a broker that specializes in this area, at least for the first couple of deals. That can be an invaluable source of information and advice, so long as you pick someone who has your best interests at heart. Once you obtain the necessary information, you can begin looking at specific investments to determine if they meet your financial goals (and what you can afford).
