Commercial Real Estate Investment/Site Locator

Question
I had previously worked for a very successful Developer/Contractor. My responsibilities were as project manager for large utility contracts but on many occasion the owner would have me travel to different states to locate properties for his clients. Some of these we would do a design build project for them. Properties I located would be 65,000 SF office building, properties with rail spur, $30M service centers, etc. I was very good at this and enjoyed it so much I didn't know if I was working or playing. My question is how do I start a site locating company, what fees do I charge and how do I find multiple clients to service. Also is this even viable in this economy?

Answer
Sorry, I've never worked in this field.  I wouldn't be able to help you there.  I know there is a shortage of contractors to clean out and maintain foreclosed properties.  If you know any local real estate agents or brokers you may want to contact them to find out if there are opportunities in your area.
