Question Hi
I am completly lost here, I am trying to up grade a laptop RAM, I have a fujisu a6110 but it has the bigger processor the intel duo T7250 not the T5250, the FSB is 800 and not 677.
I want to up grade to 4 gig RAM but when I started looking I am seeing people talk about 1 to 1 speed and 4 4 4 12 or 5 5 5 15 etc.
I can not get a grip on what this means after hours of trying to understand it. I contaced Kingston to see what they recomend but they keep comapring the RAM for the T5250 and saying oh it doesent matter.
I just want to get the right speed etc for the best performance and it seems some know but some dont.
If you can offer any help here I would be very gratefull.
Thanks
Answer The 1:1 thing is matching the FSB to the memory's speed, in you case, you'd be looking for DDR2-800, what Kingston is telling you is truth, DDR2-667 vs DDR2-800, in your situation (and in most situations) won't really make a huge difference, except in price. Either solution would work, if you want to ensure the performance, I'd go with the DDR2-800 part, something like this Crucial: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144084
