Question
I do wood working as a hobby. When I use a planer I get a lot of tiny wood chips. Mostly I use oak and maple wood stock, but ocassionally also use pine and douglas fir. Can I use it as a much for my fruit trees, garden, roses and etc?

Answer
Hello Steve

Yes you may use Wood Chips as a Mulch. Try the best that you can to use Chips that are at least 1/2" long. Avoid using Sawdust, as this breaks down quickly, and could drasticaly alter the Ph in the Soil.

Just a Note, if you work with Cedar this is the best to use as a mulch, because of its Natural Insect Deterent. Works the Same way as Cedar Closets.
