Question
Hi Greg

I started to compost three years ago. I already have good compost for my garden.

My question.

Does the composting pile need sunlight to work ?

Answer
Hello Bob

Sunlight creates Heat, if you were to do an experiment with 2 Compost Piles, and one got 8 hours of direct Sunlight, and the other only 4, there is no question that the one that recieved 8 hours would Decompose quicker.

With all that said, all things will Decompose over time, with or without Sunlight, it would just take much longer.

I hope this answers your question, but if I have missed something, please don't hesitate to follow-up with a reply.

The best of luck

Greg
