What would be the best way to create more topsoil with bovine manure on a very rocky slope of land.

For some reason your question never made it to me, and so I would like to apologize for the delay.

First of all, Compost only improves the Soil that is already there. If the existing Soil is of poor Quality, the only way to truly improve it, is to add or replace it.

I need more information to answer this question. What do you plan on growing on this Rocky Slope of Land? How big is the Area in Question? I assume you have access to large quantities of Cow Manure, is it a steady supply from you or a local farmer?
