Questionare there any homemade remedies for lawn and garden care? I want to have a nice looking weed free lawn and pest and disease free vegetables without compromising our families health or the environment. Are there any good reference books for this? thanks in advance.
AnswerHello Scott
For some reason your question never made it to me, and it was defaulted back to the server. Im sorry for the delay.
As far as Homemade remedies go, some work, some don't. Most of the time you have to go out and purchase something that you don't have around the house to make this. Home and Garden Centers are now carring more and more Organic Products that are formulated to a particular need, and thus more likely to work on your problem area.
www.GardensAlive.com is a Great source for all Organic Products. As far as referance books go, anything by Rodale Press should do the trick for anything that comes up in the Garden.
As far as the Lawn goes, don't become obsessed with a "Weed" free Lawn. I have all the weeds anyone could think of in mine, I just pull them up by Hand, Dig them out, etc. You really only need to Fertilize 2 times per Year, Spring and Fall. When the weather turns Hot, all the Lawn needs is water. PERIOD.
Again im very sorry you are getting this late
The Best of Luck
