Question
how do worms affect the growth of plants? can they suck any nourishment from the plants?

Answer
Hello Arnette

Worms, as they work their way through the Soil Structure, loosen the Sub Soil creating pathways for moisture and oxygen to pass. There castings <fecal matter> are a prime source of Fertilizer for plants to use.

So to answer your question, they leave much more that they use, and chew matter to help it decompose quicker also. Probably they are the most benifical things that there is.
