Answer
Dear Anand,

Its great that you are interested in Biotech/Bio-medical/bioinformatics fields. I did my Masters in Biotechnology and PhD in Computational Biology. That time Bioinformatics at Bachelor's and Master's degree levels was just starting. Currently since I am in US, I am ignorant about complete information, as which institutes are offering.
In my view, if you complete a Bachelor's degree from a good institute/college, and then pursue Masters degree in Bioinformatics, in any of the premier institutes/universities, that would be great. You can then choose to go for a PhD or a Job. Some institutes offering Masters degree, JNU, Tamil Nadu University, University of Hyderabad, IIT's offer integrated Masters and PhD. Of course I missed to list, many other good institutes/universities names. You can find out from your seniors in India. Having a Master's degree is very much desirable, that too from a good institute/university.
