sir, iam msc in biotech and wants to do phd in bioinformatics which is better phd bioinformatics or biotech one of my friend phd from jnu in biotech now doing a course in bioinformatics b,cause she is not getting better job in usa, so i decided to do phd in bioinformatics pl tell i am write or wrong after phd i am plining to go usa

Hi Sanjay,

It depends on which field you want to work on the long-term. Bioinformatics is good career-wise, as there is a demand for skilled bioinformaticians. You can go on to become researcher in this
field. On the other hand, if you like to be in the area of experimental research, you can choose Biotech. Infact, both the fields closely colloborate with each other. Since Bioinformaticians are now an important part in all biotech/mol-bio research, you can find job easily.
