Question
I have been living apart from my ex for 3 years. He has not been in the house for over 2.We do not own a pc together. He has a PC where he lives with a GF and I have a ne3w laptop.
I also have a room mate and the pc that was just purchased is shared with my room mate.
My ex's GF called and said she had somehow hacked my pc , had all my private documents, (and I do all my banking, etc. online), as well as personal property of my room mate.
Can I have her prosecuted for invading my privacy or his or for stealing? To my knowledge this was done without my ex's knowledge or approval.
The amount of violation we feel is overwhelming and this is a person I have never even met or spoken to except when she grabs my ex's phone yelling obscenities at me at which time I hang up.
My room mate is angry as well.
Any help in stopping this person is appreciated.
Thanks,
Susan

Answer
Hi Susan,

How do you know she has done this other than her saying see did? Did she offer you any information that would lead you to believe her? Also I need to know what state you live in so I can tell you what laws apply.

Thanks I be safe and stay well.
