Question
I have 2 nos. same mother boards both are faulty. In one mother clock is always lost when restarted even I changed brand new battery 2 times. In the other mother board it is always heated up and system stops working any time and some times when I restart the system it is just like hang up/never starting. I am interested in repairing the mother board in which clock is always lost because if there is some component to be replaced I will take it from the faulty mother board which is always hanging up.

Best regard.

Answer
MM Shah,

Because there are so many variations of MOther boards available on the market, it is impossible for me to tell you what the fix is for the Clock issue. You were going in the right direction with the replacement of the battery, maybe go into the BIOS to ensure the settings are correct?  That would be my next step.

As far as the system board heats up: This could be caused by the 'fans' not working correctly. There might be a fan assemble on the CHIP portion with fins attached then you also have the fans located on front and back: ALL should be working correctly in order to keep the system board from heating up: Check the CPU Fan and FINS: If there is dust in the fins get some canned air and blow the dust out so there is proper circulation through the fins. I would also recommend vacuuming out the rest of the system via canned air and a vaccuum cleaner.

Hope this helps....
Jeff
