Computer Science/A question about directory file display in mobiles

Dear Sirs

When I use a cable to connect to my mobile phone (Sony Ericsson K770 i), I can only see the ensuing directories.

1.   DCIM
2.   dictionary
3.   music
4.   other
5.   pictures
6.   theme
7.   video
8.   webpage

But when I disconnect the cable to use my mobile phone without the cable, I can see so many other directories on mobile phone screen. Why aren't all the directories available when I connect the cable?

Thank you for your early reply.

Sincerely yours
Mehrdad Shamsara

This depends on the phone type ANDROID or OTHER.  I am sending you a link that may explain it further about ANDROID file structures.

I believe the other is due to not have certain permissions, kinda like a explorer in desktop mode: you can only see certain directories you cannot see the 'hidden' or 'system' structures except when on phone. YOU may see the others but I think you still do not have access to them.
Try it do you have access to them?

Let me know otherwise enjoy this link:

Kind Regards,

Computer Science
