I would like to know how many new computer worms, viruses, and Trojan horses have been launched since January 1, 2005.

Try doing a search on one of the following:

http://www.google.com/

http://vivisimo.com/

It's really hard to say how many viruses have been launched since the day you mention, sometimes there are only 4 or 5 new ones in a few days, sometimes a lot more - it depends.

This happens to be of interest to me as it boggles my mind that people have nothing better to do than to write a virus. Wish these people, the ones who write viruses would put the knowledge to good use instead. My job as a local tech involves removing viruses and/or spyware.
