QUESTION: Everytime i open msn explorer or open my files i get a pop that says your computer has been infected my some unknown trojan this is critical (files may be lost) please download recomended ant-spyware software ..my avg detects this and quarentines it but it still keeps popping back up i would be grateful for some advice on how to get rid of it

Is the popup from a program other than the one youre using?
It might be a malware ad that wants you to buy their program.
Im saying is the popup from AVG?

QUESTION: No it's not from AVG i don't know where it's from to be honest..it mainly happens when i open msn explorer to read my emails or when i open my documents,files or folders... it don't appear when i log into Firefox so i'm using that to read my emails now. Hi again Amanda.
Its a Trojan then, there are many like it out there. If AVG wont stop it then you need a through clean up.
I recommend this, Dnload a program called "Hijack This".
Its available here,

Then run it and save the log results. Go to the MajorGeeks Forum and register.

Then post your problem and the log results to the Malware section.
They are good people there and will help you.
