Computer Security & Viruses/AVG Virus vault

Question
Hi Brian, i've just installed avg 8 free edition and performed a full scan. I had the software set to automatically heal/remove. After reading some of your other answers I understand that recovering potentially harmful data from the virus vault isn't recommended however can you tell me how to do this as i can't find an option to restore all the files which were moved. (i have been able to restore some files by going to History=>Vault and restoring these files however when i look at scan results there are other files moved to quarantine which aren't available from the history-vault list and there is no option to restore directly from scan results page. Have these been deleted permanently (in scan results they all have the blue arrow icon next to them) or is there a way around this?

Kind regards, Al

Answer
Hi Al

To be honest, I'm not sure if the items you are talking about can be recovered.  Can you send me a list of the files, or take a screen shot and send it to me at numbersix6@yahoo.com.  I'm thinking that they might have been files which were deleted after 90 days through AVG's automatic vault deletion.  If so, then they may be unrecoverable.
