Computer Security & Viruses/Annoying event - Follow up

QuestionQUESTION: Doug - your profile was quite impressive, so I decided to ask you my question. I have XP and IE7. On my laptop, when at my home page of GOOGLE, if I try to get my email at Gmail, or Yahoo or Lycos (I have addresses at all 3) I get a message that says: THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS WEBSITE'S SECURITY CERTIFICATE. I then have to click on "Continue To This Website - Not Recommended", after which I can get to my email place. I never had this warning show up when I had IE6. It started when I installed IE7 and I have tried everything I know and still can't eliminate the annoying message. Interestingly, I have IE7 on my other two computers and don't have this problem on the other two computers. It's only on my laptop that the warning occurs. I tried resetting the defaults, I tried setting security to LOW, nothing helps. Can you guide me?
Thank you for your time.....!

ANSWER: Hi Jerry,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I was out of town for my Birthday.
OK, IE7, did you do the upgrade on the computer to IE7 or did it come with the computer?
Its possible the install didnt quite take.
Have you tried re-installing IE7?
Let me know.

QUESTION: Happy birthday Doug...! The computer came with IE 6 (or 6.2 I think). I installed IE7 online from Microsoft's site. When I saw the problem I was having, I re-installed it. The problem still persists. - Jerry
