Computer Security & Viruses/Monitor

Question
I have a LG monitor which is approx.10 months old. I had difficulty powering it up right out of the box. Finally got it up and it has been fine until recently. It will simply cut off on its on and not power up for a while. Then the same thing might happen days later. I have replaced the power cord, yet it has happened since doing so. Any ideas? It is under warranty.

Answer
Hi Jaye

Since it is under warranty, my first course of action would be to contact LG tech support.  The support number is 1-800-243-0000.  Have the make, model, and serial number handy when calling.
Just one thought...try plugging the monitor into the outlet directly into the wall socket if you have it now plugged into a power strip.  I have seen these strips go bad over time, and you would never know about it unless you tried a different outlet.  Good luck.
