Question
Brian. i had to start a new question because it said i had asked too many. I did not think to tell you that i had already turned off system restore. i turned off norton anyway and mcafee detected it on reboot. thanks, kevin

Answer
Hi Kevin

You need to uninstall one of the antivirus programs.  They are conflicting and hampering the cleanup.  If you are going to uninstall Norton, use their removal tool found here:

http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039

After uninstalling, reboot into Safe Mode With Networking and run the ESET Online Scan found here:

http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/

Let me know the results.

Brian
