Computer Security & Viruses/McAffee??

Question
I enabled parental control using McAffee.  I want to disenable it.  I contacted McAffee and they told me to contact Dell.  I don't know how to contact Dell.  I went to the support site and registered but they did not ask for a password and I cannot get in without a password.

The McAffee people wouldn't tell me, but if I remove the McAffee software from my computer will that disable the parental control?
Sorry if you can't answer.  I don't know where to go.

Answer
Hi Regina

From the McAfee Forums:

How to disable parental controls:

1) Open McAfee SecurityCenter and click 'Advanced Menu' on the bottom left hand side of the main protection status page.
2) Click 'Configure' link on the bottom left hand side of the navigation bar.
3) Select 'Parental Controls' at the top on the left hand side of the navigation bar.
4) Now you should see 'Parental Controls Configuration' on the right hand side of the page and below this it should say 'Parental Controls are enabled'.
5) Click 'Advanced' button on the right hand side of the page.
6) Click 'Image Analysis' on the upper left hand side of the page that appears.
7) Select 'Off' radio button.
8) Click 'Keyword Scanning' on the upper left hand side of the page.
9) Select 'Off' radio button.
10) Click 'Apply' button and then 'OK' button at the bottom of the page.
11) Now you should see 'Parental Controls are disabled'.
12) Click 'Basic Menu' on the lower left hand side of the navigation bar.

Now if you click the 'Parental Controls' tab on the right hand side of the main protection status page, you will see that 'Keyword scanning is currently disabled' and 'Image analysis is currently disabled'. There should be an 'Ignore' link beside this entry. You can choose to ignore this issue, so that it is not taken into consideration for your overall protection status.

If you later change your mind and want to see when parental controls are disabled, and you want to include this in your overall protection status again, you can 'Unignore' the parental Controls when they are disabled. You can unignore this option by doing the following:

Click 'Advanced Menu' -> 'Configure' -> 'SecurityCenter' -> 'Protection Status' -> 'Advanced', then uncheck the 'Parental controls are disable' checkbox. Now if the Parental controls are disabled, it will show in the main protection status page.
