Computer Security & Viruses/XP - Spybot S&D Problems.

Question
Hey Lenny,
I am currently running Windows Xp (Home Edition) on my Acer Travelmate Laptop and i have a very annoying problem. Along with Spybot S&D we also have a few other Spyware and Antivirus softwares (AVG Free Edition, CA Security Centre and Vundofix). Just recently i turned off my computer than a couple minutes later turned it back on, it loads normally up until the point where the Taskbar, System Tray and Icons are meant to appear (they dont). Spybot then loads and starts to perform a scan, at first i let it scan a couple of times (finding two malware entries) but when i restarted the computer after fixing the entries it didnt seem to help. That was until i exited spybot, the Icons Taskbar and System tray then loaded perfectly; along with some system commands which opened then closed relatively quickly. After loading an error message for spybot came up saying  the framedyn.dll was missing; i clicked ok and then spybot (resident shield) repeatedly came up with registry entry changes relating to spybot, which i denied (but after rebooting the computer again, allowed). Besides that the computer works fine.
I have no idea whats wrong with it, can you help????

Thanks in advance. Kyle

P.s Sorry about the long query. And probably illiterate writing lol.

Answer
Hello Kyle,

Installing numerous several security programs certainly do confuse the system especially the registry as each does perform a crucial assignment hence the error. I am not saying it is unwise but it's best to stick to a few or rather an all-in-one security program that offers top-notch satisfactory functions.

Regarding the framedyn.dll error issue, please follow the instructions as suggested by Microsoft;

1.Click Start, and then click Run.
2.In the Open box, type %systemroot%\system32\dllcache, and then click OK.
3.Right-click framedyn.dll, and then click Copy on the shortcut menu that appears.
4.Click Start, and then click Run.
5.In the Open box, type %systemroot%\system32\wbem, and then click OK.
6.On the Edit menu, click Paste. If you are prompted to replace the existing file, click Yes.

Kind Regards,
Lenny.
