Computer Security & Viruses/magnifying glass icon

Question
yesterday a new icon appeared on my screen, whenever I click a mouse button or try and scroll. The new icon is a black magnifying glass. It is appearing almost everytime I click and when I am typing. When it is on the screen the original command I had asked for is overridden and I have to move the mouse and try again. I have not downloaded any programs yesterday and have an uptodate AVC software. I ran the software this morning and it got better all day, but now is back with a vengeance. Do you have any idea what it is and what is causing it as it is doing my head in. Thanks

Answer
Hello Neil,

I figure this to be a backdoor trojan acting as a system file but not smart or strong enough to convince the computer user. It would be safer and better if you followed the link below and download a smart Trojan/Spyware scanner/removal program or rather utility known as Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. Run it and save the log result and then click on next to eradicate the infection found.
