hi i hope you can help me in getting this red circle with white x in the middle off my tool bar. it keeps popping up saying "your computer is infected, anit was due to some spyware, please advise i don't want to lose any inportant files. thank you in advance mike l

Read this whole post on the Techguy forums. You maybe can remove the infection with one of the fixes listed in the topic. If not get back with me and I will give you instructions on how to download a program called hijackthis (the first post in the topic has a hijackthis log in it) and how to run a scan and post it on the board.

The second post in this topic also gives a fix for the infection.
