Hey, I would just like to know something about AVG Antivirus (Specifically the Free Version). Is it really Free and does it really take care of viruses? I am considering downloading it but don't want to download something that might load spyware onto my computer.

Hopefully, you are using an av program now. If not, please do as soon as possible. If you are, but are not happy with it, make special note of the last paragraph.

AVG Free is excellent. It really does take care of viruses. We have used it for over two years (plus one year full version), and are one of their affiliates (2 years). We have also used other excellent anti-virus applications. AVG does not load spyware, but it blocks some.

However, what works for us, with our system, software, connections, configuration settings, may not work best for you. No risk in trying the full version free for 30 days (or the free version), but only AVG can offer guarantees.
