Question
Dear Sir,

If i send a feedback to an organization through their website, providing fake info about me like my name, identification no, phone no and email add, would they still be able to trace where's the email/feedback from through my internet service provider or other software?

Thanks.

Answer
It's possible to determine the network origin, (or proxy if you use one), and basic system/browser information, especially if you allow their cookies).

Based on that, and depending on the website (like a government site vs. a blog site), they might be able to locate your computer (physical location).

And, if your computer system has severe to moderate vulnerabilities, potential leakage of additional information could occur.

But, reputable websites don't wish to know more information than one wishes to give, and they state that in their privacy statements.

That doesn't mean that reputable (and otherwise) website administrators have no recourse if there is some reason (like abuse) for wanting to know more, but without the correct name, a phone number or email address, messages are usually deleted by default because of lack of and/or incorrect info, or accepted as sent - anonymously (no information desired or accepted except the message itself).
