QuestionI used allexperts for a phychic and I gave me whole name know when I do a google search for my name the entire question and answer appears. Is there any way I can erase that from google? Also, how can I prevent people from spying on my computer usage from remote locations, if that is even possible?
AnswerHi Joe,
I don't believe there is a way to remove or delete a web page that has already been cached by Google. Allexperts would need to ask Google to remove the URL via their removal service; not something they would be likely to do. However, if you set up an account, you should be able to simply change your posted name. Did you post anonymously, but used your full name so you can't change it? Also, Allexperts might be able to help you. In certain circumstances, sites can change something behind the scenes.
About preventing spying from remote locations, if you use a reputable Firewall, anti-virus software, anti-spyware/trojan/adware... application(s) and/or online scanners and removers, you're not likely to have others actually spying you.
If you're using the basics, there are several online browser and system vulnerability tests. Pcpitstop.com, Grc.com, and several other excellent ones. Do a search using the words "vulnerability tests." Enrgy21.com has a browser test and information about safety.
If you're using a company computer, or public, not likely you can prevent remote monitoring. If on your own personal computer, having the basic security applications working and up to date, will prevent the type of "spying" I think you're referring to. Note: Using wireless in locations such as an airports and coffee shops can potentially make your system more vulnerable, but without more info about whether you're referring to a desktop or laptop, on what type of connection, can't say more.
