QUESTION: hi, ill try to explain this the bes i can, its pretty straight forward really.
i clicked a download a codec button on a video that wouldnt open. and obviously i didnt need to, and since then i have been getting a pop up, nearly every time i click to do something online. the pop up looks JUST like the ine in the like HERE.

i ran my norton anti virus and it didnt pick it up, said my computer was clear, i ran my windows defender it said clean too, i also downloaded spoybot s&d said the same thing. i really dont want to have to pay for ANOTHER anti virus programme as i have already have two on my computer. i did before i emailed you this download stopzilla. but after a serch they want you to pay to register, so im not sure if it will actually REALLY find my problem and have me wast money again. thats basically my problem, any help would be very much appreciated. thank you.

ANSWER: Hi Shannon

Please download to your desktop LSPFix from here:
http://www.cexx.org/LSPFix.exe
Next, double-click on it to start the application.  Place a check in the box for "I know what I am doing", then highlight the file:
is3lsp.dll
Move that file to the right side using the >> arrow.  Click the finish button, then OK to close.

Open HJT (scan only this time) and place a check in the box next to the following items, then click the Fix Checked button:

O2 - BHO: Sysem Player - {2AE4C401-AAC4-4F41-9665-1EC88C3BDD7D} - C:\Windows\sysvol32.dll

QUESTION: thanks for the help with this, but when i downloaded this programme and tried to run it, it wouldnt open.it said error, winlock registration key is missing. so i couldnt follow the instructions that you have gave me.

ANSWER: Hi Shannon

This was my fault...I forgot you were using Vista.  Please follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Start button.
  2. Type cmd in the Start Search text box.
  3. Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow elevation request.
  4. Type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key.
  5. Restart the computer.
  6. Send me a fresh HJT log.

I'm happy to help good folks like you out.  Please download Combofix to your desktop from here:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a log for you.
Copy and paste that log here along with a fresh HJT log.
