Computer Security & Viruses/Norton Anti virus
Expert: Doug Woodall - 3/20/2008
QuestionHello I have a question that may sound stupid but I thought I would ask anyway. I recently bought a dell computer and it came with Norton anti virus. Should I install it? I have asked friends and family and it seems like the opinions are split down the middle, Some live by it, some say that Norton is a "ram hog". So I thought I would ask an expert.
AnswerHi Kevin,
What AntiVirus were you using before? If you were comfortable with its ability to protect you, stick with it.
Norton has been said to be a resource hog, but I think it depends on the computer and the user alot too.
If its all you have to ensure your online safety, then install it. You may like it.
I also always recommend a review site for AntiVirus products.
