some body suggested "avg free edition (free.grisoft.com)"
someone told it will scan virus but will not remove the viruses. I am a novice. please indicate your opinion whether (avg free edition (free.grisoft.com) will remove viruses or not

Answer
The link I gave you does have buy options, but those products also have free versions. I used BitDefender free for months until I decided I liked it enough to buy it.
Avg has a free version and so does Avast. Avg has a link to their site thru the link I provided for the reviews.
