Hi Driton

Please follow the steps below to remove the malware.

Turn off System Restore:
1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
3. Click to select the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click to select the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box.
4. Click OK.
5. When you receive the following message, click Yes to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore:
You have chosen to turn off System Restore. If you continue, all existing restore points will be deleted, and you will not be able to track or undo changes to your computer.
Do you want to turn off System Restore?
After a few moments, the System Properties dialog box closes.

Next, uninstall the My Web Search option from Add/Remove Programs

1. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel
2. Double click on Add/Remove Programs
3. Find "My Web Search" in the list of installed programs and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it. You may also want to uninstall any of the following items associated with FunWebProducts.

   * My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
   * My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
   * My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
   * My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
   * Search Assistant - My Way

Next, please download Killbox from here:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/spyware/KillBox.zip
Unzip to desktop and open killbox.exe.  Check the box that says delete on reboot.  Highlight the entries below and copy it to the clipboard:

C:\Windows\system32\ptlg.exe

Then in killbox click File>>Paste from clipboard.
Then click the Red X.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click yes to reboot now.
Upon reboot you may receive a Windows error message looking for the files we just deleted.  Ignore it and then run HJT (scan only) and place a check mark in the box next to the following items, then click the Fix Checked button:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [msptlg] C:\WINDOWS\ptlg.exe
O23 - Service: ptlg - Unknown owner - C:\Windows\system32\ptlg.exe

Note that the HJT entries may say 'file missing' after it.

Next, download Dr.Web CureIt from here:
ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/cureit.exe
Double click to run the utility and press the "Start" button in the opened window. Confirm the launch by pressing the "OK" button and wait for the scanning results of the main memory and startup files. Then, select the Complete scan and press the "Start scanning" button on the scanner right.  While being scanned, infected files are cured, incurable files are moved to the quarantine directory. When the scanning is finished, the log file and the quarantine are not deleted.

Finally, reboot and post me the Dr.Web results and a fresh HJT log.
