Hi Barry

I will certainly try to help you out here.  CiD popups are removed by performing the following uninstall command.  First, click Start, then Run.  In the run box, copy and paste the following:

C:\DOCUME~1\COMPAQ~1\APPLIC~1\SAFERO~1\maildeaf.exe -uninstall

If that does not work, go to this address: http://nb.dns-look-up.com/bins/uninstall.exe
and download that file.
Install and run the program.
Then restart your computer.

The popups should now be gone.  Next, open HJT (scan only) and place a check mark next to the following items, then click the Fix Checked button:

Next, please download Dr.Web Cureit from here:
ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/cureit.exe

* Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan
* This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a short scan.
* Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
* Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
* Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
* Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
* Reboot your computer when finished, and post me a fresh HJT log, along with an update on how the PC is running.
