QUESTION: I have the same problem the other guy had, but I can't find the resolution to his problem on this site.  My cursor periodically begins moving randomly around the desktop, and then clicks or double clicks, opening programs.  I know it is clicking because it even did it while I was shutting down windows, and I got the "gong" sound or double gong sound each time it clicked or double clicked.  This happened while I was NOT connected to the internet.  I removed malware with spyware doctor a few days ago, but the problem persists.  Spyware doctor found Trojan Popuper.

Let's first see if all the malware has been removed.  Please download TrendMicro HijackThis! from the following link:

* Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
* Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
* By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
* Click on Install.
* It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
* Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
* Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
* Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" and Paste the entire contents of the log (no attachments) into a follow-up here.

Hi Kyle

Your log file looks fine.  Is your computer on a LAN?  Is it possible someone on the network is causing this?  My suggestion either way would be to install a strong third party firewall so that you can control all connections into and out of your computer.  I recommend Comodo Firewall here:

After securing your network traffic, if the problem still occurs, then you know it is most likely the mouse or it's drivers which are at fault.  I would try a different mouse to see if the problem reoccurs.  Hope that helps.
