QUESTION: how to get rid of spymax...tried spybot, couple of others..but no luck..any help would be great!

I will need to know if there is anything else infecting your PC, and where the infection is located.  Please download TrendMicro HijackThis! from the following link:

* Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
* Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
* By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
* Click on Install.
* It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
* Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
* Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
* Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" and Paste the entire contents of the log (no attachments) into a follow up here.  I will analyze the log and advise you further.

Hi Woodstock

You have a number of infections.  Please download ComboFix and save to your desktop:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

    Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop
    Close any open browsers.
    Double click on combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
    When it's finished it will produce a log.
    Post the contents of the C:\ComboFix.txt into your next reply.
    Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running.
    That may cause the program to freeze/hang.

After running ComboFix, please download Dr.Web's CureIt from here:

ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/cureit.exe

Run the utility and press the "Start" button in the opened window. Confirm the launch by pressing the "OK" button and wait for the scanning results of the main memory and startup files. Select the Complete scan  and press the "Start scanning" button on the scanner right.

When finished, please post me the ComboFix log located at C:\ComboFix.txt and also a fresh HJT scan log.
