Computer Security & Viruses - task manager disabled

Expert: Carolyn Meinel - 4/10/2008

Question
hi for last one month ,
1-whenever i press CTRL-ALT-DLT an error msg comes " task manager has been disabled by your administrator" .
2-my task bar has gone at the top of screen and it is not coming at its actual position (this happened spontaneously)
3- in an open window when i click on tools , then i find that " folder option" is missing.
to tell you that all this happened simultaneously. i feel some sort of virus is doing this business.
please help.

Answer
Please help me by giving some more information. Is this your home computer? Or is it one you use at work or in some public place like a school or library? If it is a work or public computer, these things were disabled by the administrator responsible for preventing anyone from messing it up. If this is your home computer, then I can help you, but the solution I will give you won't work if this is a work or public computer.
