Question
Right now my PC is infected and i saved all my MP3's, documents, videos, user name and password details on a data DVD.

Will the saved data that was copied from a infected PC still be infected with virus if i load the disc into a new PC?

For example: On my new PC i install anti-virus and spyware programs such as nortan and then i load the disc with the data and scan the disc and if scan comes up "all clear" will their be any chance of virus?

The reason why i asked that question is because the data disc is saved from a infected PC which containing MP3's, documents, etc.... But the those files are not infected, it's just my PC.

Answer
Hi Shane

You have asked 3 separate questions which I believe to be tied together, so let's try to keep it to one thread to save confusion.  Before dealing with the other issues, let's see what your PC is infected with, and clean that up first.  Please download TrendMicro HijackThis! from the following link:
http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/threat_analytics/HJTInstall.exe
* Save HJTInstall.exe to your desktop.
* Doubleclick on the HJTInstall.exe icon on your desktop.
* By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis.
* Click on Install.
* It will create a HijackThis icon on the desktop.
* Once installed, it will launch Hijackthis.
* Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
* Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" and Paste the entire contents of the log (no attachments) into a follow up here.
