I have done everything I know how to do, I've done boot scans, scans in safe mode, and scans with better anti-virus scanners then the main stream (such as MacAfee)

POP-UPs:
Huge Red pop up that comes up after the desktop has loaded, it takes up the entire back round telling me that my computer is in danger, if I exit out it causes the desk top to crash shortly after

It claims that the task manager has been disabled by my administrator, yet there is only one account

It has killed access to my internet, if I try to use the internet in normal mode it comes up as a white screen, yet this cannot be a hardware connection effort as I am typing this now, and I can still use services such as AIM

Please help, and please tell me that I don't have to reformat my computer! Thanks!!

ANSWER: Hi Matt

I don't think a reformat is necessary.  You have several infections, so it may take a few follow-ups to complete the cleanup.  If it becomes too lengthy, you may reach me via email at numbersix6@yahoo.com.  You will want to print out the following instructions for reference.

As a first step, remove the following programs, if listed, via the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel:

WinFixer
Viewpoint (all instances)
McAfee or Avast - you should never have two antivirus programs installed at the same time.

Next, please download VirtumundoBeGone to your desktop from here:
http://secured2k.home.comcast.net/tools/VirtumundoBeGone.exe

Now reboot your computer into Safe mode.  Open HJT and run a scan only.  Place a check mark in the box next to the following items, if found, then click the Fix Checked button:

  O23 - Service: Viewpoint Manager Service - Viewpoint Corporation - C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe
  O24 - Desktop Component 0: Privacy Protection - file:///C:\WINDOWS\privacy_danger\index.htm

After fixing, close HJT and double-click VirtumundoBeGone.exe file and follow the instructions.  When finished, exit the program and reboot normally.

Open your browser and download Dr Web CureIt from here:
ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/cureit.exe

* Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan
* This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a short scan.
* Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.
* Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.
* Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.
* Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
* When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found:
* If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable.  This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured.
* After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list
* Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv
* Close Dr.Web Cureit.
* Reboot your computer because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.

Post me the .csv log and a fresh HJT log after rebooting.

QUESTION:
I was unable to remove WinFixer at the beginning as it wasn't listed, however after following your steps things are much better, I can access the internet fine while not in safe mode and as far as I ca see the ad-ware is gone

Things still wrong:
Cannot use the task manager
All desk top icons look as if they are highlighted (not a huge problem)

ANSWER: Hi Matt

Your new HJT log is not formatted properly.  Please run it again, and when notepad opens, under Format, uncheck "Word Wrap".  Also, first try this to enable the task manager.  Click Start, Run, then copy and paste this command exactly as given below:

REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Press OK.  Try to bring up tack manager now.  Let me know if it worked.

The task manager works, however when I bring it up it is missing most of it, for instance I cannot flip through to see the processes that are running, and I cannot exit out or minimize it (using the window, I can by right clicking on the tray icon)

Thanks a lot, I feel like a nag, but I was losing my patiences when I went a week and still had the viruses

You've really helped, thanks

Matt

Answer
Hi Matt

Not a problem...that's why I am here.  The HJT log still is not right.  Are you copying directly from notepad?  It looks like this:
C:Program FilesJavajre1.6.0_03injusched.exe
When it should look like this:
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.6.0_03\bin\jusched.exe

Let's run another program before you send me that log again.  Please download ComboFix to your desktop from here:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

Close all other programs, including any antivirus programs, then double click on the ComboFix icon to run the program.  Please allow the program to run completely (it may take some time), and allow it to reboot your computer.  After restarting, the program will finish up by creating a log report, which I will need you to copy into a follow-up here, along with the HJT log.
