Question QUESTION: Hi there,
How are you?
Wondering if you can help me w/my issue:
My computer's "block pop-up windows" option always UNchecks when I check it. While most would assume spyware is manipulating my cpu- I actually ran adaware and spybot right before the unchecking continued to happen. Any idea why this happens & how I can fix it ASAP?
Also- is a cookie cleaner program like ccleaner.com necessary if I remove all my cookies through tools->options or does this do a better job?
Thanks!

ANSWER: Hi Aly,
Sounds like a conflict between two settings. Are you using McAfee Privacy Blocker? It can conflict with the setting in Firefox for Pop-Ups.
I think there was a bug like this last year, you might try the Firefox Forum or try a new install.
CCleaner is also used for Registry cleanup and controlling other options like Start-Ups and Apps.
Removing them yourself is also a good option. It does not really do a better job than you, it does it for you.
Hope this helps.
